Poor little aphids,
Your tiny nature forbids
You refuge from my notepad.

Mistaken kind of overleaf,
A safer space, a shared belief,
So of your life, I am a thief
Each time I close my notepad.

Try picturing it from your side.
Trudging another page divide.
Just wandering, the lines - your guide.
Your Everest - my notepad.

And how would I feel in your place?
Why should I trust a martian race?
This towering beast's foreign face?
This finger to move me with grace?
I'm safer on my notepad.
