An hour before I graduate
Along with fellow classmates
Were anticipating this special night
Calm
Yes
Nervous
Yes
Went in a tunnel
In the arena
Made sure I was in the right place
Joined other students
Congratulated each other
Waited
More graduates were
Arriving
Some I have seen
Others for the first time
People I knew
Long and short period of time
More graduates were arriving
That hour became minutes
Anticipation was starting to build
My body felt warm
Regular clothes
Top I had on
Cap and gown
Antcipating
Saying to myself
Other had this feeling
Has the time yet come
Time came
Walk down the asile
Look around
So many people
Including my family
Could not fine them
But, so many faces in the stands
In the arena
People cheering
All the anticipation
The graduation began
