Franklin J. Warren - Belief Systems

How can a global society believe,
in something they cannot perceive?
There are ten thousand religions,
Within this world's regions.

Some worship animism others worship a different god,
That they have invented so on others they can trod,
And have them tithe to support a parasite,
Not much better than a blood sucking mite!

it's all about control folks, so listen up,
it's your money from which they sup,
Some may even believe the garbage they tout,
Having their congregation wave their arms and shout!

How can anyone with a mind,
Understand how a preacher can be so unkind,
As to have his group act so foolishly,
And believing immortality could ever be?

To ignore what has been proven beyond a doubt,
What this Earth our home is all about,
No deity, just a planet with a sun,
And life forms that live, die, and it's done!

No other place will they go to live again,
Just the lies that the preachers spin,
To have control of their flocks,
And the human race, this mocks!
