Frankie Stamey - Why I Write

There's a Demon in my soul
Why I write he alone knows
I used to write for fun
And the flow would just come
Now trying to write to a prompt
Just doesn't feel the same
Sometimes I go insane
Trying to play this game
Rhyming with a rhythym
To the name of a subject
That I don't own
Really my pen has a mind of it's own
I just follow where it goes
And then the flow just flows
As you can see my pen loves this topic
That's why I can't hardly stop it
Writing on it's own untill the flow is gone
I like when my pen writes on its own
Giving a name to the work after the work is done
That's the way I think it should be done
This ended my poetic confession
Thanks for the opportunity
To let my pen write freely
