Frank H. McNamara - THE FIRST SERMON

The young preacher stood in front of the
podium, looking nervously at the crowd.
He pulled the mike close and spoke in a
voice real loud,, I am here to minister to you
sinners, I only have one goal, that's to help
you with your problems and to try to save
your soul
Listen closely to what I tell you,don't judge
me by what I do, because I am a human
being, I am a sinner just like you.
We live in a nation under God, I love to see
her flag unfurled, and if we live by God's
commandments, we will be the happiest
people in the world.
Remember that Satan is sitting out there . .. he
is trying to get control.
I am begging you people to change your
ways before he owns your soul.
Now, you young folks out there are abusing
sex, which is the very essence of ones life,
and a young man that wishes to get married
can't find a virgin for a wife.
You throw God's law out of the window and
drink until you're plastered, you find a place
to have your sex and produce another
bastard.
These words may sound harsh to you but the
truth is in the book... the definition is in the
dictionary if you take the time to look.
You young girls are considering abortion.. let
me give you this information.. you would be
committing the sin of murder to cover the sin
of fornication.
So it we want to save ourselves and to avoid
God's wrath..we had better read the Ten
Commandments and get ourselves back on
the path..
Let's work together and by the law abide,
I guarantee that you will be happier when you
have God on your side.
I will end my sermon with this note
It may have some bearing on your fate.
when the usher comes around be generous
to the plate.
