The Slithytoad

Take a wander
down the trail,
which runs along
The hilly dale.

There you will find
A magnificle sight -
The slithytoad!
In all his might.

He’s green and gentle
and squawks like a bird,
(in fact a seagull.)
He lives with a herd
(of cows, in a field.)
Mr slithytoad -
he owns a shield

to protect him from
the gobblygoose;
who gulps slithytoad down
like chocolate mousse!

Slithytoad often,
Calls upon his friends
(The moomoocows)
Who help him to defend

His loving toadette
Miss Slithytoadmiss
Who flutters her eyelashes
And gives him a kiss

I call by his warren,
Everyday after school,
Where we drink fizzy toad-ade,
And play toad-pool.

We often sing songs,
By the Spice toad band,
Who write lots of melodies,
About holding hands.

If you happen to see him
Be sure to say Hi.
He’ll greet you warmly
If you pop by.
