FORMICA es Fran Formica, un músico de La Plata, Argentina.
Cantante y multi-instrumentista: toca batería, bajo, guitarra y piano.
En 2014 funda y se pone al frente de Frank is Dead, banda de metal con la que lleva editados dos discos. En FORMICA se despega del perfil hard rock para hacer “algo que pueda escuchar todo el mundo, simpático pero con contenido“. Su primer album #1, es un disco de seis canciones que mezcla experiencias personales con una sonoridad sinth dark, influenciado por el pop chileno de los últimos 10 años (Javiera Mena y Alex Anwandter) y el sonido de japoneses como Ryūichi Sakamoto y Haruomi Hosono.


FORMICA is Fran Formica, a musician from La Plata, Argentina.
Singer and multi-instrumentalist: plays drums, bass, guitar and piano.
In 2014 he starts and fronts Frank is Dead, a metal band with which he released two albums already. In FORMICA, he switches from his hard rock profile to make "something that everyone can listen to, pleasant but with content". His first album # 1, is a six song album that mixes personal experiences with a synth dark sound, influenced by the Chilean pop of the last 10 years (Javiera Mena and Alex Anwandter) and the sound of Japanese artists like Ryūichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono.
