Former Foreign Sec 'not concerned' over Trident misfire
Description
Lord Owen, who served as foreign secretary under James Callaghan from 1977 to 1979, said that he is not concerned after The Ministry of Defence earlier confirmed that a missile misfired from HMS Vanguard during an exercise off the coast of Florida in January. Lord Owen said: “You should go on testing, and sometimes it is embarrassing, but it is better to find out that there are some problems and then you can check it out.” Report by Covellm.
