forever gone - The Past, the Future

This is my future
this is what I want
I know this feeling
never once fulfilled
but I say to myself
I know this feeling
this time it's stronger,
this time I feel it
growing in my heart
I know
this is my future
this is what I want
to forever feel this love
growing in my heart
I know how much she loves me
she knows I love her
or at least she tries.
its hard for her, I know.
her heart closed up
from love gone wrong,
a long time ago
but I'm telling you now
you cant change the past,
but you can change the future,
and that is what I'm going to do
make a new future,
everything she hoped for.
I know she cant forget the past, and
neither can I.
but I only hope,
i can make the future better.
because this is what I want,
she is who I want to spend
the rest of my life with.
and to heal her heart,
all I ask,
Is to make the future,
better than the past.
