Forest fire in Goseong mostly extinguished

고성산불 12시간 만에 주불 진화 완료…"오전 중 잔불 정리"

A forest fire in Goseong, Gangwon-do Province has been mostly put out after destroying 85-hectares and 6 homes over the past twelve hours.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
According to the Korea Forest Service, firefighters have been working from this morning to fully extinguish the fire...expecting it to be done by noon today.
The fire started at a nearby house on Friday and quickly spread to the mountain due to strong winds.
