Foreigners excel in US baseball

While the US is embroiled in a debate over restricting illegal immigrants, the gates have been flung open for one special category of foreigners: professional baseball players.

Players from more than 40 countries can be found on professional playing fields all across the US, and one in three players in the major leagues are now foreigners.
