Florida GOP candidate caught using completely fake diploma

SARASOTA, FLORIDA — A Republican candidate for the Flo-rida House was actually dumb enough to lie about having a college degree, and then trumped that by posing with a fake diploma.

According to WPLG, Melissa Howard is running for the 73rd House District, and intends to stay in the Republican primary race.

“It was not my intent to deceive or mislead anyone,” said the deceiver in a statement on Monday. I made a mistake in saying that I completed my degree. What I did was wrong and set a bad example for someone seeking public service. I am staying in the race and intend to win and lead by example from now on.”

Howard was called out last week by FLA News Online for lying about graduating from the Miami University in Ohio on her website.


So what did Einstein do? She flew to Ohio and posted a picture of her and a “diploma.”

Unfortunately, the diploma shows a degree that doesn’t exist at Miami University. It also has a fake signature from a dean from a different program.

Miami University also clarified that Howard didn’t graduate.
