Floods spread across UK

Floodwaters are spreading across Britain.

At least 500 properties had been affected by Tuesday and another 70,000 are at risk, according to the UK's Environment Agency.

A total of 193 flood warnings have been issued, with central and southwestern England most at risk.

Britain has been hit several times by severe floods over the past 10 years.

A deluge in the summer of 2007 killed around a dozen people and caused billions of pounds in damage.
