Lurk beneath the burning gloom.
Stalk the stricken day.
Scent the nightshade's flaring bloom.
Breathe the vapors gold and gray.
Forage for a moment gone.
Glean the darkling space
Where dusk reflects the dawn.
Every morning leaves a trace.
Prowl below the afterglow.
Haunt the shining air.
Taunt the ghosts at touch and go.
Fetch them howling from their lair.
Prey for souls from shattered years.
Clasp them to your core.
Sip the salt of spirit tears.
Nip their wounds once more.
Crouched across light's cutting edge
Reap the raptured dream.
Thresh beyond night's jeweled ledge.
Tread time's shifting stream.
Drift astride the stellar tide.
Drop the starry seines.
Dredge the evening's darker side.
Grasp what moonlight means.
