Five schools closed over HFMD
Description
Five schools nationwide have been ordered to close from the 830 schools nationwide affected by the contagious hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) as of Wednesday.
They are SJK (C) Shih Chung Cawangan Pulau Pinang; SK Damak, Jerantut, Pahang; SK Pekan Sipitang, Sabah; SJK (C) Chung Hwa Sipitang, Sabah; and SK St Patrick Sipitang, Sabah.
The Education Ministry said the five schools will be closed for 10 days, including the weekend to prevent the spread of the disease.
