First time hypnotist thief is caught on camera

A thief is captured on CCTV using Derren Brown-style hypnosis to put a shopkeeper in a TRANCE before stealing his wallet and cash from his pockets.
The bizarre raid, which took place at an off-licence, is believed to be the first time a crime of its kind has been captured on camera. Metropolitan Police yesterday (Fri) released the 1.09-minute clip which showed the trickster calmly pick shopkeeper Aftab Haider’s pockets twice.
The 56-year-old owner, who wines Hops and Pops wine merchants in Highgate, north London, was left “stunned” by the theft which took place at 9.45pm on September 11.
