First summer wildfires rage in Greece

Several wildfires have been raging in Greece amid hot dry weather.

Strong winds caused one fire south of Athens to spread across a wide area, burning several houses.

Four welders at a construction site were arrested, accused of accidentally starting it.

Elsewhere several fires continued raging on the southern Greek Peloponnese peninsula, as did a blaze on the island of Kythnos.
