The ground-breaking and internationally acclaimed 4-part children’s series "First Day" is produced by South Australia’s Epic Films in association with Kojo Studios, and is directed, written and co-produced by Julie Kalceff.

In 2020, season one of “First Day” won an International Emmy Kids Award for Best Live Action Series, a GLAAD Media Award (Children and Youth) which honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBTQIA+ community, and the Kidscreen Award for Best Live-Action Series.
