Fire razes trophy-making factory in Bayan Lepas

A factory producing plastic trophies and medals on Kampung Jawa Highway in the Bayan Lepas Industrial Area was destroyed by a fire on Tuesday (Feb 3), but no casualties were reported.

John Sagun Francis, deputy operations director of the Penang Fire and Rescue Department, said the department received an emergency call at 9.10am and immediately dispatched fire engines from the Bayan Baru Fire and Rescue Station.
