A look at the arrival of the first batch of Sputnik V vaccines via Qatar Airways at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City on May 1, 2021. Top government officials, led by Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr, the National Task Force Against Covid-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar; and Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd were present at the airport. They were also joined by Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Marat Pavlo, and Undersecretary Robert Borje, chief of the Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs. The first batch of the vaccines by Gamaleya is composed of 15,000 doses. Their delivery was delayed due to logistical issues.
