Description

National Transitional Council fighters line hospital beds near the Libyan city of Bani Walid.
Doctors here say the fighting against remaining Gaddafi loyalists has been fierce.
(SOUNDBITE)(Arabic) DR. WALID MOHAMMED, VOLUNTEER DOCTOR, SAYING:
"We are receiving a lot of wounded and so far today we have already received more than 50."
But the fighters claim the worst is over and that they have fortified their position around the city.
(SOUNDBITE)(Arabic) AHMED AL-JILIK, NATIONAL TRANSITIONAL COUNCIL (NTC) FIGHTER, SAYING:
"We have an announcement for everyone who has fled Bani Walid to come back because the area of Tinenay is very safe and also the northern area is 100 percent safe and there is no danger at all."
Rooting out the last pro-Gaddafi strongholds of Bani Walid and Sirte has proven difficult for the NTC due to lack of organization.
Others question whether the government will be able to unite Libyans along tribal and regional borders.
