Fighting China's one-child policy
1 Views • Aug 17, 2012
Description
Feng Jiamei was allegedly targeted for being unable to pay a fine for having more than one child, in violation with China's one-child policy. Local authorities say Feng agreed to the abortion.
Chai Ling, the founder of All Girls Allowed, an advocacy group focused on protecting women's rights in China, is against the country's one-child policy.
Al Jazeera's Stephen Cole spoke with Ling after she contacted Feng Jiamei about the forced abortion.
