Ferranti DS 2 Tapchanger Gearbox

Ferranti 12.5 MVA 33kV / 11kV Transformer gearbox had an intermittand fault.
The position contacts needed to be checked and inspected.
Well made quick acting arrangement which drives the 17 step geneva movement.
This part of the tap changer is for indication and control. The actual main contacts are behind an other cover and driven from the geneva wheel.
I will make a video when major maintenance is done on the latter and will post.
Livening up inrush current can be heard at the end.
