FDA Issues Botulism Alert for Infant Formula — Immediate Recall Required
Description
On June 13, 2026, the FDA released a health warning and started a recall after connecting a Clostridium botulinum outbreak to Nara Organics Whole Milk Powdered Infant Formula. Botulism is a severe illness caused by toxins from this bacterium, leading to muscle paralysis, respiratory failure, and even death, especially in infants who are at the highest risk. Parents should promptly cease the use of any Nara Organics powdered infant formula and visit FDA.gov for details on affected lot numbers. A comprehensive traceback investigation has been launched by the FDA.
