FAZEER QUESTIONS AKEAL'S OMISSION

International cricket commentator Fazeer Mohammed is baffled as to why left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein has been omitted from the West Indies squad for the ODI series against India starting Thursday.

Hosein was the joint highest wicket taker among West Indians with eight scalps, tied with Alzarri Joseph during the ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe.

Mohammed says if the West Indies want to qualify for the 2027 World Cup, Hosein has a key role to play.
