Step into May and mating confronts us
Wherever we look. From frog to bird, lust
For new life sets pattern as partners fuss
With spawning and nests. Desire is a must
In this vigourous month. Appetites just
Go crazy. It's impregnation or bust
For any red-blooded male or his gutsy
Contender. Hedgerows, puddles, rusty
Old barns, outhouses, farmyards and dusty
Furrows in fields all yield place in May, trusting
Instinct, virility seizes the gustiest
Nights as humans alike turn heartily flushed.
Oh yes - May-month is certainly lusty!
