Farington water leak's effect on road surface

The road surface is cracking on Stanifield Lane at its junction with Stanley Road and Centurion Way, where a water leak has gone unchecked since mid-January. United Utilities has said its technicians have assessed the road and that it is not "sinking", as locals have feared. They also say that repair work will be carried out overnight as soon as possible.
