FARC Pledges to Maintain Unilateral Ceasefire

Despite last week’s clash in which 11 soldiers and two guerrillas were killed, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia have said they will maintain their unilateral ceasefire. They call for independent observers to investigate last week’s incident and decide who was at fault. A Colombian government spokesperson Humberto de la Calle said that advances have been made in the peace talks but that it will not accept a bilateral ceasefire. teleSUR
