Fallen Too Far - We the Poets

We the poets are roamers
Homeless in our skin
Always searching, frantic
For the words that lie within

We the poets are starving
Artists of escape
Looking for the passage out
To fill the hungry ache

We the poets are living
Awake among the dead
The sleepless nights bring us a light
And we push on ahead

We the poets are silent
To release our titan swords
An enemy of 1,000 men
Conquered with our words

We the poets cannot hide
What cannot be withheld

We the poets have a pride
That cannot be expelled
