Fallen Too Far - ME IN CHALK

here i lie
on the sidewalk scribbled
no hands
but lines empty filled
no smile
but a rainbow creased in half
no heart
but an empty middle
i can't see
i can't feel
frozen in pastel froth
the rain
it comes to wash away
any sign
that i ever existed
clean and
obvious that i was never there.
