Facebook Data Breach Hits Stocks Hard

Global stock markets saw deep losses Monday after news of a Facebook data breach. Facebook stock dropped as much as 8.1% on Monday. Facebook's loss spurred a decline of more than 2% in the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index. The benchmark S&P 500 slid 1.5% and the Dow Jones industrial average decreased 1.3%. This is the most Facebook stock has dropped since August 2015.
