Exodus 7 - 9

The following 3 chapters describe the plagues demonstrate that Yahweh is supreme over Pharaoh and Egypt’s gods. Pharaoh repeatedly refuses to submit, even when facing destruction. Goshen is spared from the later plagues, showing God’s distinction between Israel and Egypt. And the pharaoh repeatedly promises freedom but goes back on his word once relief comes.
