Exclusive – McDermott relieved as Reading get their first win

Reading manager <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/sports-news/term/brian-mcdermott">Brian Mcdermott</a> has admitted that getting the club’s first win of the season was a huge weight off his shoulders.

The <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/sports-news/football/clubs/t108/reading">Royals</a> have been playing well on their return to the Premier League but were unable to convert performances in to three points.

They managed to change that with a 2-1 victory over <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/sports-news/football/clubs/t11/everton">Everton</a> at the Madejski Stadium, and McDermott believes the triumph was deserved.
