Description
According to the London Metropolitan Police, Khalid Masood was born in Kent, England on December 25, 1964. He was reportedly recently living in Birmingham. He has previously been charged for assault, grievous body harm and possession of a knife.
Masood has a wife and three children, reported Sky News, citing a source.
Reports suggest that Masood was also a bodybuilder who claimed to be an English teacher, but it’s unknown if he taught in public schools.
British intelligence service MI5 had previously investigated Masood, but he was not currently on their domestic terrorism watchlist, according to the Guardian.
After the attack, Islamic State claimed Masood was a soldier who was following their orders.
