Eva Thoman - Why and When?

Why did we still believe
in loved ones that failed us
why didn't we question their lies

Why don't we believe when we are told
we are beautiful
Cause we were always told we were NOT

Why don't we smile
and dance like we used to
and take life in its stride

That day will come
when our thirst is quenched
will be the day we believe in ourselves FIRST.
