Description

Alone I was in a little corner,
Admiring the wonderful nature so fine.
`Enjoying the breeze,
and glad to be alive.

Suddenly, I hear sounds along the ocean.
I said to myself;
It must be the waves
It’ll be an awesome view; I’d thought.

To my dismay, it was Katrina.
I dropped down in pain and agony.
Shedding tears in fears.
`Looking at the damage that has been done.

This day started as a beautiful day
How could it end as a painful day?
If only GOD will make a way,
So I’d know what to say.

Katrina Oh Katrina!
What have you done?
Why have you taken innocent lives?
Why have you brought sorrow to the happy souls?

Why? Why? Oh Why?
I believe with life comes hope.
But what is life without happiness?
What is life without food, shelter or clothing?

For the sounds that I hear
I’d hope I wouldn’t be in fear.
But for the tear that I shed today,
I do not hope to share.

Up above my head, I hear voices ringing.
Down below me, I see people sinking.
“Why is all this happening? ”
I ended up screaming!

Oh lord hear our cry,
Restore happiness to Katrina Victims.
