EU wind industry defies recession

Wind energy in Europe is set to deliver nearly 100 billion euros' worth of jobs and revenue over the next ten years, according to a new report. The "Green Growth" report from the European Wind Energy Association reveals that wind energy has defied the recession by growing 33 per cent over the past five years. And it predicts that more than half a million jobs will be created in the wind sector by 2020.
