EU to Triple Naval Search Missions for Missing Migrants

Following the tragedy last week in the Mediterranean in which 700 migrants are estimated to have lost their lives when the vessel they were traveling in en route to Europe capsized, the European Union announced it would triple its naval search missions. The captain of the ship may be tried for trafficking and multiple homicide. Hundreds of Bengali and African migrants had been locked in the lower decks of the heavily overloaded fishing boat. teleSUR
