I couldn't stop it I didn't even try to

I didn't want to believe it because I trusted you
My heart was broken once again
I'm sitting here in tears looking at a picture of you
Wondering why you did this to me
The clues were right in front of me but
I just threw them away
I knew it was too good to be true
I knew that it was over when you left me a voice mail saying
'we need to talk'
A year we spent together
Which was wonderful
You there by my side
Now I wonder if the year that we were together you were with some other girl
But I told myself it couldn't have happened
I knew that you were through with me
I knew I love you
I knew I cared when we went on our second date I knew
