I use to think that what we have is great,
At one time believing we were soul-mates.
Now it feels like everything is falling apart,
I’m starting to think that our relationship was doomed from the start.
I use to be so in love with you,
Now everything is so confusing and I don’t know what to do.
You tell me you love me,
But nothing feels like it should be.
It feels like I’m suffocating to death,
Struggling for every breath.
I tried to be everything you wanted me to be,
When inside it was slowly killing me.
Nothing I did was ever good enough,
Now it’s time for you to pack your stuff.
It’s time for you to go,
Don’t ask if you can stay, my answer is no.
I don’t want to be with you anymore,
I’m counting the time till you walk out the door.
I need to do what’s best for me,
Now I finally feel free.
I have only one thing to say,
Just please stay away.
Understand that we could never be,
Now I can take time to concentrate on me.
Because of you I have no idea of who I am,
It feels like our relationship was a scam.
Now I’m on a path of self discovery,
Trying to find out what makes me happy.
Realizing it’s me I need and not you,
It’s clear to me now what I must do.
I should have known that it wouldn’t last,
Now it’s time for me to move on and put everything in the past.
