Eric Jensen - Broken Mask

This mask I wear
Has cracked many times before
Am I still real
Or am I just another fake
My tears won't fall
I fell alone, yet i'm not


Is this mask my truth
Is my face really this deep
Or am I just hiding inside,
A shell about to fall to pieces
Am I just a dream
Or someones nightmare


I left myself closed for so long
My door is stuck
Yet one pushes relentlessly
The hinges about to snap
My mask will crumble, revealing
What I have hidden away


Will my face remain the same
Was the mask just a prison
For me to hide in,
To escape moving on
The silence hurts the most
When I am all alone with my thoughts.
