Eric Bult - Upliftment
3 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
Those awful days that followed death's decree
Were simply players in a cast of dreams.
The play is ended and we are set free.
Were this not so the burden of death's store
Must prove too great for human life to bear:
Each tragic loss if added to the score
Would close another door forever there.
But our intrinsic makeup happily
Permits escape from each such tragedy.
It seems the human brain may probably
Be programmed to reject adversity.
Thus now I offer my commiseration
With confidence in human restitution.
