ERDOGAN: TEMPLE MOUNT WILL ALWAYS BE ISLAMIC

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan denied Jewish connections to the Temple Mount, Rachels Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs. It may seem like a moot point, but the statement comes after the Government moved to include all of the sites in a list of Jewish heritage points. Erdogan said the sites will always be Islamic. Muslims built the al-Aqsa Mosque on top of the Jewish Temple Mount when the Ottomans had control 1500 years ago, and the same happened at the Tomb of the Patriarchs. All three places were Jewish holy sites thousands of years before Islam existed.
