To revive the ratings of a struggling dating reality show, writer Cole reluctantly casts popular singer and influencer Phil, his estranged best friend from high school. Years earlier, the two drifted apart after a misunderstanding led each to believe the other was in love with the same girl. Working together again through staged dates, vlogs, and the carefully orchestrated world of reality television, Cole and Phil gradually rediscover the bond they once shared.
