ENGLAND VS WINDIES DAY 2

The West Indies are facing an innings defeat at the hands of England after only two days of action in the opening Test at Lord's.

England resumed their first innings on 189 for 3 and were all out for 371, with Joe Root hitting 76 and debutant Jamie Smith 70.

Pacer Jayden Seales took four wickets, while another fast-bowler in Shamarh Joseph had to leave the field in the middle due to a hamstring injury.

The English had a lead of 250 on first innings.

Batting a second time, West Indies closed on 79 for 6, and require 171 more to make England bat again.
