Engineers in Bollywood


India has one of the largest numbers of engineers in the world. Let's find out how many engineers are there in Bollywood.


1. Kartik Aaryan
Kartik Aaryan who will next be seen in "Dostana 2" and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from Navi Mumbai's D Y Patil College of Engineering. He was still studying when he did his first film "Pyaar Ka Punchnama". Aaryan completed his engineering degree on the insistence of his mother after the release of  "Pyaar Ka Punchnama". So far he has acted in 10 films including "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2", "Pati Patni Aur Woh", "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" and  "Akaash Vani". 
2. Vicky Kaushal   
Vicky Kaushal pursued an engineering degree in electronics and telecommunications from Mumbai's Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. During an industrial visit to an IT company, he realized that an office job would be unsuitable for him and began aspiring to have a career in film. He briefly took on an engineering job and began accompanying his father to film sets. He worked as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap in the two-part crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur. Kaushal played his first leading role in the independent drama "Masaan". So far Kaushal has worked in 14 films including "Raazi", "Lust Stories" and  "Sanju". Kaushal will next be seen essaying the role of freedom fighter Udham Singh, in a biopic directed by Shoojit Sircar. He will also star as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in "Takht", a historical drama directed by Karan Johar. He has also committed to reuniting with Aditya Dhar for "The Immortal Ashwatthama" - an action film about the mythological character Ashwatthama and Meghna Gulzar for a biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. 
3. Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood, who acts predominantly in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Punjabi films has an Engineering degree in Electronics from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur. In 1999, Sood was introduced to Tamil language films with Kallazhagar and Nenjinile. Sonu Sood entered Hindi films, with "Shaheed-E-Azam", as Bhagat Singh in 2002 and earned recognition as Abhishek Bachchan's brother in Mani Ratnam's "Yuva" in 2004. He has so far worked in more than 60 films. Sood helped thousands of stranded Indian migrant workers to reach their homes by arranging buses, special trains, and chartered flights for them and recently was chosen for the prestigious ‛SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award’ by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for his humanitarian works during COVID-19 pandemic. 

 4. Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon, who will next be seen in the lead role of a surrogate mother in Laxman Utekar's upcoming film "Mimi", holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida.
