Engine Room drum pad experiments

Charlie Campagna of Soundelux and Kris Bergstrom of OnEnsemble.org experiment with a contact-mic-equipped DIY drum pad. Two piezo transducers are affixed to the bottom, one directly hot-glued to the wooden bottom of the pad and the other hot-glued to a copper strip sprung off the bottom. A steel spring resonates against the second piezo. Both channels are going through a Boss guitar-effects box. The work is in preparation for On Ensemble's 2009 Works in Progress performance.
