Watered down all over your new shirt

In time I sure hope they’ll fade
I know you don’t like to see them
Nor the break in my heart that you’ve made

Finding my feet has become so hard
But I swear I won’t lean on you much longer
I’m so sorry it was you who knocked me down
I know you’re right – I’ll turn out stronger

Every tear that I shed is an insult
I understand you’ve been so kind
I’m so sorry this is how I repay you
Please give me a moment; I think I’ll be fine

Please learn to forgive my wrongs
Although I’m dying, please don’t worry
These tears aren’t real
My smile’s not fake
I really am…

Its ironic how the imperfections and flaws of mine
Are reflected in your eyes
How I’m subjected to your childish criticisms
When my foundations have been your lies
I think I just need a resolution
Some time, alone, and some space
I know now I’ve been used and mistreated
……..If only I could say all this to your face
