Emo Seb - Instead of Tears

I can't see the sun
I'm trapped steadfast
In the cold grey shadow
Of my shady past
Trapped in this box
Made of glass
I just want to feel the rain
How long will this drought last?

I sit in the dark
Shivering as I cry
But instead of tears
Blood pours from my eyes
It gushes from my wrists and throat
But I won't die
I cut out my heart
But I'm still alive

I pray on my knees
All day, all night
For a little forgiveness
A little light
But He gave me better
Than I had in mind
He took me home
Where it rains all day and the sun shines bright.
