I wish you were around more
your presence brings more joy
than you could ever understand.
to hear your voice and see your smile
and to feel how the room changes
as you pour your heart
into all things
it is one of the most radiant
and uplifting things I have ever been
exposed to.
and I wish you were around more
entering rooms and changing the very air
into something as sweet and palpable
as ripe fruit or honey on the tongue
so I wouldn't miss you so much
wondering if you feel the goodness you bring
or if that is simply something
you have unknowingly given to me.
